A few quick tips to maximize your analyst's use of the FingerWorks™ Telestrator.
Clear Communication
The single most important tip is to have clear communication between the producer and the analyst.
The producer needs to know what the analyst wants to see and the analyst needs to know what he is going to see. In the middle are the tape ops that listen in on the conversations between the producer and the analyst and then supply the replay. The best results occur when all three areas are in synch.
Previewing the Replay
The best telestrations are the ones that are set up during commercial breaks. The analyst gets to see the replay and rehearse the telestration. The tape ops are aware of when and where to stop the replay and when to continue.

Auto Highlight on One Player
The Auto Highlight (spotlight effect) is the most effective tool to focus on the replay of one player that warrants telestration. The most important thing is to illustrate to the viewers what will happen and then let them see it happen.
Auto Highlight on Two or More Players
If two or more players are involved in a play, use the highlight tool to show the players and their positions and then other tools to illustrate their movement. Clear the telestrator and let the replay roll.
Showing a Player's Movements
FingerWorks™ enables the analyst to move a circle or highlight on the screen. This is an effective way to follow a player's movements on a replay but takes a little practice to master.
